Jadon Sancho is set to leave Manchester United this summer, with Borussia Dortmund eyeing a free transfer for the winger.
Borussia Dortmund are set to make a move for Jadon Sancho, who is expected to leave Manchester United at the end of the season. The 25-year-old winger, who previously played for Dortmund, has been struggling at Old Trafford and is likely to depart on a free transfer.
Dortmund’s interest in Sancho is driven by club boss Hans-Joachim Watzke, who is a big fan of the player and wants to bring him back to the club. Sancho has been informed of Watzke’s enthusiasm, and talks are underway. Dortmund also see him as a replacement for Julian Brandt who will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.
Sancho’s history with Dortmund makes him an attractive prospect for the Bundesliga side. During his two stints at the club, he made 158 appearances, scoring 53 goals and registering 67 assists.

However, Sancho has received interest from other clubs, and his decision is still pending. The winger’s current contract with Manchester United is set to expire, and the Red Devils have decided not to extend it.
Sancho has struggled at Manchester United with only 12 goals and six assists in 83 appearances. He has been out of favour with the club and he is now on loan with Aston Villa. A return to Dortmund could be the fresh start he needs to revive his career.
Dortmund’s pursuit of Sancho is not without its challenges. The club would need to persuade the winger to accept a significant pay cut, as his current wages are around £250,000 per week.
Although Sancho’s future is uncertain, he looks primed to leave Manchester United.
