Rosenior confirms Enzo Fernandez remains fully committed to Chelsea despite recent speculation about his future following comments after PSG defeat.

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has moved to reassure fans over the future of Enzo Fernández, insisting the midfielder remains fully committed to the club despite recent uncertainty.

Fernandez sparked speculation earlier this week after suggesting he was unsure whether he would still be at Stamford Bridge next season, speaking in the aftermath of Chelsea’s heavy defeat to PSG.

The Argentine, who joined the club in 2023 for a then British-record fee, still has five years remaining on his contract, but hinted that the remainder of the current campaign could potentially be his last in London. However, Rosenior revealed he held a detailed conversation with the 25-year-old at the training ground, where the midfielder made his feelings clear about both his future and his desire to succeed with Chelsea.

According to the manager, Fernandez explained that his comments had been misunderstood due to emotion and translation, stressing that he is happy at the club and determined to help the team win their remaining matches.

Off the pitch, Rosenior also addressed a separate issue, confirming the club has identified the source behind leaked team selections ahead of their Champions League ties, adding that the matter has been handled internally without malicious intent.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are dealing with injury concerns, with Trevoh Chalobah expected to be sidelined for several weeks, Reece James set for a short spell out, and Filip Jørgensen requiring surgery, while Rosenior reaffirmed his belief in young defender Mamadou Sarr despite his recent struggles.
