Bayern Munich stormed into the Champions League quarter-finals with a dominant win over Atalanta, setting up a high-profile clash with Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich powered into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with a commanding 4–1 victory over Atalanta, sealing a crushing 10–2 aggregate triumph.

Already holding a comfortable advantage from the first leg, Bayern showed no signs of easing off at the Allianz Arena, dominating proceedings from the outset against an Atalanta side needing a historic comeback.

The breakthrough came after a VAR review awarded Bayern a penalty for handball against Giorgio Scalvini. Although Marco Sportiello initially saved Harry Kane’s effort, the spot kick was retaken, and the striker made no mistake the second time.

Atalanta attempted to respond, with Charles De Ketelaere going close, but Bayern’s control of the game remained evident as they limited the visitors’ attacking opportunities. The German side stepped up their intensity after the break, with Kane producing a moment of brilliance by turning past defenders before firing into the top corner to extend the lead.

Further goals followed as Lennart Karl finished calmly after an assist from Luis Díaz, before Díaz himself added another with a composed finish to underline Bayern’s dominance.

A late consolation from Lazar Samardžić offered little comfort for Atalanta, as Bayern advanced to face Real Madrid in a highly anticipated quarter-final clash, continuing their impressive run in Europe this season.
