Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Serhou Guirassy’s camp over a potential transfer

Tottenham Hotspur have officially entered the fray for Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy as they look to inject proven firepower into their frontline.

According to reports, Tottenham have already established contact with the 30-year-old’s representatives, signaling a serious intent to bring the Guinea international to the Premier League.  As Tottenham prepare for a significant squad restructuring ahead of the new campaign, Guirassy has emerged as a focal point of their recruitment strategy.

Despite a challenging season for Tottenham on the pitch, the club is determined to secure a marquee number nine who can lead the line. Guirassy’s physical profile and clinical history in the Bundesliga make him an attractive option for a side desperate to find a consistent goal-scoring rhythm.

However, Tottenham aren’t the only giants circling the Westfalenstadion. AC Milan remains a formidable contender for Guirassy’s signature, viewing him as a vital piece for their own attacking reinforcements. While interest from Saudi Arabia was previously touted with reports suggesting the player’s brother and agent had engaged with clubs in the region, that path has cooled significantly.

The ongoing regional instability in the Middle East has reportedly made a move to the Pro League an increasingly unlikely prospect for the striker.

While Guirassy’s contract reportedly contains a €50 million release clause, it is understood to be a major concern for some of the interested clubs. Currently, neither Tottenham, AC Milan, nor the interested Saudi Arabian outfits are believed to be in a position to trigger that specific clause.

On the pitch, Guirassy’s current season has been a story of two halves. Following a sensational debut year with BVB, his second campaign has been more subdued, though his output remains formidable.

With 17 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions, he continues to find the net at a respectable rate despite recently losing his undisputed starting spot. Having featured as a substitute in two of Dortmund’s last three matches, the timing for a fresh start in London may be aligning perfectly.

For a striker who has proven he can thrive in high-pressure environments, a move to the Premier League could be the final flourish of a prolific European career.
