Camavinga and Rudiger also return but Carreras will be unavailable in more injury woes for Los Blancos
Real Madrid have received a boost ahead of their Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City after forward Kylian Mbappe returned to the training ground at Valdebebas.
The France international had been in Paris receiving treatment for a knee problem, but his presence back at Madrid’s training base has lifted the squad. Madrid lost to City earlier in the competition and will be eager to avoid another defeat that will send them out of the competition too early for their standards.
However, there are still concerns over whether Mbappe can take part in the tie at all. He was not involved in a full session with the squad and instead focused on individual work, carrying out running drills under the supervision of a fitness coach.

His involvement in Wednesday’s first leg is thought to be unlikely and it is unclear whether he will be fit enough to play in the second next week.
There is more positive news elsewhere in the squad, though, as two important players have returned to full training.
Centre-back Antonio Rudiger has rejoined the group and is expected to be available for selection in the game with City. Eduardo Camavinga has also recovered from a persistent tooth infection and provides additional options for Arbeloa in midfield or at left-back.
Regular left-back Alvaro Carreras is expected to miss the match after suffering a calf problem in more injury woes for Madrid.
In a statement confirming the injury, the club said: “After the tests carried out on our player Alvaro Carreras by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the calf of his right leg.”
