AC Milan closed the gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan to five points after a thrilling 2-1 win over Pisa at the Arena Garibaldi.
The game started slowly and for the first 30 minutes both sides managed to muster just one shot on target. Pisa almost took the lead on the half-hour mark, but Mike Maignan’s vital block prevented AC Milan from going behind.

AC Milan eventually took the lead after 39 minutes, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek heading home Zachary Athekame’s superb delivery from the right flank.
The second half began with more intensity, and AC Milan were awarded a penalty when Felipe Loyola tripped Strahinja Pavlović inside the box. However, Füllkrug missed the resulting penalty, glancing off the post.
That miss gave the hosts renewed energy as Pisa equalized in the 71st minute with Loyola’s curling 15-yard strike, setting up a thrilling finale.
AC Milan pushed hard for a winner, with Füllkrug’s close-range shot narrowly missing the target. Just when it seemed like both teams would share the point, Luka Modrić slotted the ball past Nícolas with a clever finish, securing the win for Milan.
Despite finishing with 10 men after Adrien Rabiot’s red card, AC Milan held on to claim all three points.
