As it stands, yes. With the current statistics, Andre Onana has the worst ratio of conceded goals per game when compared with other Manchester United goalkeepers.
On Thursday, Onana once again stole the spotlight with a delirious performance against Lyon in the Europa League. Onana was the major culprit for both goals, and it brings us back to Matic’s statement about Onana being the worst goalkeeper in Manchester United history.
Before the game, Onana and Matic were involved in a verbal war, and Matic stated that Onana is the worst keeper to ever play at the club.
You would’ve hoped Onana would pull out a top drawer performance to prove Matic wrong, but no. Onana went on to deliver one of the worst performances ever seen.
United fans are irate and for good reason.
Looking at the statistics, Onana has now conceded 154 goals since his debut at the club. This is even more staggering because he has done it in 94 games, earning him an abysmal ratio of 1.48 conceded goals per game.
Even De Gea, who conceded a whopping 590 goals for Manchester United during his long spell at the Manchester club, has a ratio of 1.08 per game.

Matic’s statement just puts a pin on the thoughts of many Manchester United fans about Onana’s performance. He simply hasn’t been good enough, and for a team that’s struggling, he adds to the problem, which is not something you would associate with a goalkeeper of his status.
