LA Galaxy considering lucrative offer for Brazilian but Saudi clubs also in contention
Casemiro could move to Major League Soccer in the US after his contract at Manchester United expires in the summer.
United have an option to extend the midfielder’s deal by another year but will not be exercising it. Both club and player have officially announced a departure at the end of the season.
MLS side La Galaxy are considering signing Casemiro under the designated player rule that allows clubs in the league to sign and register up to three players who salaries exceed the established price cap.
The Brazilian currently earns up to £350,000 per week at United and it is thought his high wages are a primary reason why the club wish to move him on.
Casemiro has also been linked with a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.
Casemiro to Leave Manchester United at the End of the Season
Casemiro will leave Manchester United after his contract expires at the end of the season, the player has announced.
The 33-year-old confirmed on social media on Thursday that he would be ending his stay at the club in the summer.
In a post accompanying a video posted on Instagram, the Brazilian said: “Knowing when stages come to an end. Knowing when to say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever.
“Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal. Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans. Forever Red Devil.”
United also confirmed the development on their website.
In the official club statement, Casemiro said: “I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life.
“From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club.
“It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months.”
