With the transfer window expected to end in a few hours, here is a quick look at all the news coming out of Chelsea Football Club

Chelsea have had a quiet transfer window, which is quite unlike them. However, in this slow transfer window, a lot has happened with incomings and outgoings.

Sterling Leaves Chelsea

To start off, Raheem Sterling has left Chelsea on a mutual agreement, despite having 1.5 years left on his contract. Sterling has been frozen out of the Chelsea squad, especially by Enzo Maresca, and he has been linked to moves out of the club for a while.

With Sterling now leaving Chelsea, reports have it that he would seek a move to another London club due to family reasons.

Disasi Could Leave Chelsea

With Sterling leaving, Chelsea are also looking to offload Axel Disasi.

The defender has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge since returning from his Aston Villa loan. Right now, Chelsea and West Ham have an agreement over a loan deal, but the deal is on hold as both parties are waiting on an answer from Disasi.

Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr Return From Loan

While Chelsea haven’t made big news in the transfer window, they have recalled defenders Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr from their loan spells at Borussia Dortmund and RC Strasbourg.

Chelsea believes that both players are talents to keep for the future, including Josh Acheampong, who has received transfer requests. While Sarr is returning from Strasbourg, Anselmino will be joining the French club.

These transfers have also affected Chelsea’s stance in transfer talks with Jeremy Jacquet. With Chelsea choosing to rely on and retain their young CBs, they have stalled in talks to sign Jeremy Jacquet, with Liverpool reportedly favourites to sign the young centre-back.

Datro Fofana Joins Strasbourg

Adding to the partnership between Chelsea and Strasbourg, David Datro Fofana is set to join the French club from Chelsea.

Fofana, since signing from Chelsea, has been moving from one club to another with spells at Burnley, Union Berlin, Göztepe, and Fatih Karagümrük. He is expected to help Strasbourg cover for Emmanuel Emegha’s injury. Emegha has also been signed by Chelsea and is expected to join the Blues at the end of the season.
