Arsenal capped off a flawless Champions League league phase campaign with a 3-2 win over Kairat Almaty, extending their winning streak to eight European games.

Arsenal who were already assured of their spot in the knockout stage, took an early lead through Viktor Gyökeres, who scored in the second minute of play.

However, Kairat equalized with a penalty, which was confidently dispatched by Jorginho. Arsenal responded quickly, with Kai Havertz scoring his first goal in almost a year, taking the lead once again.

The Gunners continued to dominate, with Gabriel Martinelli adding a third goal with a point-blank finish. Arsenal looked comfortable, but Kairat showed great pride and added a late second goal through Ricardinho.

The win was an important one for Arsenal, getting them back in their groove after a Premier League defeat to Manchester United. They’ve now won their last 17 European home group stage/league phase matches.

This victory maintains Arsenal’s status as one of the favorites to lift the trophy in May. Mikel Arteta’s side will be looking to build on this momentum in the knockout stage.

Kairat’s historic campaign comes to an end, with the Kazakh champions bowing out with a solitary point. Despite the loss, they’ll be proud of their efforts in the Champions League.

Arsenal’s next challenge will be in the Premier League against Leeds, where they’ll look to bounce back from their Manchester United defeat.
