Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed that Filip Jorgensen will be in the starting lineup for their Conference League tie against Legia Warsaw.
Chelsea, who are favourites to claim the Conference League trophy, will continue an incredible run of form today against Legia Warsaw in the Conference League.
In a press conference, the Italian manager expressed that Sanchez is number one in the goalkeeping department but will have to sit on the bench for the Conference League match.
Jorgensen has been the starting keeper for Chelsea in the Conference League, and Maresca wants to keep it that way.
Although Chelsea fans have been worried about the goalkeeping department, Maresca seems very content with the choices in front of him.
Sanchez has had a couple of awful moments in the season, but he was firm in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Tottenham and the 0-0 draw against Brentford.
He will however, play second fiddle to Jorgensen, who has been impressive for Chelsea in the Europa League, conceding 5 goals and keeping 3 clean sheets.
The Chelsea goalkeeper is expected to retain his place in front of the goal against Legia Warsaw in the Conference League and hopefully, reward his manager’s good faith in him with a stellar performance.
