Conte warns Napoli’s injury storm is far from over as the champions prepare to host Chelsea in the Champions League.

Napoli head coach Antonio Conte has cautioned that the club’s current struggles are far from finished, insisting the “storm is not over” as the reigning Serie A champions continue to battle a severe injury crisis.

The warning came after Napoli suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat away to Juventus on Sunday, a result that allowed the Bianconeri to close the gap to just one point in the league standings.

Napoli’s problems were once again compounded by a lengthy injury list, with the Partenopei travelling to the Allianz Stadium without ten first-team players available for selection.

Among those missing were key figures such as Kevin De Bruyne, David Neres, Amir Rrahmani, Billy Gilmour, Matteo Politano, Frank Zambo Anguissa and goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić.

Speaking after the match, Conte stressed the importance of togetherness during the difficult period, urging his players to stay united despite the ongoing adversity. He described the situation as a boat caught in a storm, insisting that nobody should abandon ship.

Conte also warned supporters that the crisis is expected to continue for several more weeks, calling on fans to provide unwavering backing rather than withdrawing support when results falter.

With Napoli set to host Chelsea in their final Champions League league-phase fixture at the Stadio Maradona on Wednesday, Conte revealed that preparation will focus on recovery, tactical video work and psychological strength, as he urged the entire club to remain compact, united and driven by positive energy.
