Real Madrid full-back isn’t making a “big deal” out of the clash between the two in October
Dani Carvajal has no quarrel with Lamine Yamal despite the clash between the two in the last clásico in October.
After Real Madrid won 2-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, Carvajal approached Yamal and made a yapping gesture with his fingers, in response to comments the 18-year-old had made about Madrid in the build up to the game.
Carvajal’s actions soon provoked an altercation between both Barcelona and Madrid players.
Ahead of the two sides’ meeting in the Spanish Super Cup final in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, Carvajal was asked if he was still on the outs with Yamal.
”You guys don’t forget anything, do you?” Carvajal replied. “Lamine is young, and I think he wasn’t entirely on point in the days leading up to the Clásico. But that’s all.
“Everyone tries to defend their own interests at club level. Lamine is a great guy. Obviously, I don’t wish him the best for tomorrow. But that’s it. I’m not making a big deal out of it.”
