United set to face Brighton in the FA Cup on Sunday
Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler has praised Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko as a striker who “has everything”.
Sesko scored his first double for United against Burnley this week, scoring twice in 10 minutes to turn around a one-nil deficit, although the game ultimately ended in a draw after Burnley’s Jaidon Anthony curled a shot into the top corner.
“He has everything that a really good striker needs,” said Hurzeler. “I followed him [in Germany]. I liked him as a player.
“He didn’t have that easy start but against Burnley it was impressive what he showed so we definitely have to take care of him.”
Brighton face United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup on Sunday, with the Red Devils looking for a first win since dismissing manager Ruben Amorim.
“They changed the system,” said Hurzeler. “I don’t know how they will face us. We saw only one game against Burnley and it’s difficult to get so many conclusions out of one game.”
Brighton head into the game having held Manchester City to a draw at the Etihad, after Kaoru Mitoma’s sweet second-half strike cancelled out Erling Haaland’s first-half penalty.
“He can be a game changer for us,” Hurzeler said of Mitoma. “We need to push him so he’s 100 per cent but in the second half he showed he is trying to get back on track as quickly as possible.”
