Arsenal Hold Onto 2-1 Win vs Brighton and Hove Albion

Arsenal held on during the final minutes of their game against Brighton to win 2-1 and go back to the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester City’s 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest meant they topped the Premier League table temporarily. Arsenal who were in action next had to avoid defeat by all means to go back top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal had one job to do at kickoff and it was to win. The Gunners got down to business immediately, applying relentless pressure on Brighton and in 14 minutes, their pressure paid off as Odegaard put Arsenal in front.

Odegaard’s goal marked his first of the season and another assist for Bukayo Saka. The Gunners controlled most of the first and in the second half, they picked up where they left off.

The Gunners made it 2-0 as Georginio Rutter scored an own goal to put Arsenal well ahead.

Brighton didn’t back down and they showed some fight against the league leaders. Brighton pulled one back through Gomez who latched onto a rebound to add more spice to the game.

The last fifteen minutes of the game was end to end action but Arsenal were able to secure the win.

Gabriel Magalhaes was also introduced into the game, marking his return from injury which is a huge boost for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal fans.
