Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller heaps praise on 17-year-old Lennart Karl.
Thomas Müller, the former Bayern Munich star, has showered praise on Lennart Karl, the club’s young breakout talent. Müller believes Karl’s goals aren’t just luck, but a testament to his exceptional quality.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has been impressing with his performances, and Müller attributes this to his outstanding shooting technique.
“His shooting technique is certainly exceptional. He has very good finishing, and that’s already an excellent asset to have,” Müller said.
Müller, who has experience playing alongside talented players, notes that Karl’s energetic and agile style allows him to constantly find himself in scoring positions. “If you play in attack for FC Bayern and you’re energetic and agile, you’ll constantly find yourself in scoring positions,” he explained.
The veteran forward drew comparisons with his former teammate Lukas Podolski, saying Karl has similar qualities. “When Poldi had the ball in the right space on the left, it was explosive,” Müller said.
However, Müller also highlighted areas for improvement, noting that Karl’s future depends on how often he creates scoring opportunities for himself.
“The question that will determine his future is more about how often he gets into such situations, can create them himself, whether he needs the team to do it for him, and so on,” he added.
Lennart Karl has already made a name for himself in the Bundesliga, scoring six goals and providing two assists in 22 appearances. His presence on the field has provided succour for Bayern Munich who were dealing with the absence of Jamal Musiala.
