Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has confirmed that his squad will have Christmas Day off, but only because it fits perfectly into their schedule ahead of Sunday’s match against Crystal Palace.

Thomas Frank explained that the team’s schedule wouldn’t change even if it weren’t Christmas, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a routine. “This week we actually handled in the same way I would have done with any other week,” he said.

Struggling Tottenham are currently 14th in the Premier League table, with a run of five defeats in eight matches. Frank’s decision to give his players Christmas Day off has added to the growing discontent among fans.

Frank will be without captain Cristian Romero and Xavi Simons for the Crystal Palace match due to suspension, adding to the team’s woes.

Despite the struggles, Frank remains optimistic. He emphasized the importance of building something special at Spurs, despite the current challenges. “We try to improve while we are driving 100 miles an hour, but that’s part of it,” he said.

Tottenham will face Crystal Palace on Sunday, and Frank is confident that his team can bounce back from their struggles
