Atalanta’s Isak Hien scores a dramatic 94th-minute winner, securing a 1-0 victory over 10-man Genoa in Serie A.

Atalanta snatched a 1-0 win over Genoa, thanks to Isak Hien’s late header in the 94th minute. Genoa had held on valiantly with 10 men, but Atalanta’s pressure finally paid off.

The match was turned on its head early when Genoa goalkeeper Nicola Leali was sent off in the 3rd minute for a foul on Daniel Maldini. Despite dominating possession, Atalanta struggled to break down Genoa’s defense.

Charles De Ketelaere and Yunus Musah had chances, but Genoa’s substitute goalkeeper Daniele Sommariva made crucial saves. Vitinha hit the post, and Gianluca Scamacca’s header went wide, as Atalanta pushed for a goal.

Genoa, with 10 men, continued to threaten on counter-attacks, with Lorenzo Colombo and Caleb Ekuban causing problems. But Atalanta’s defense held firm until the late winner.

In the dying minutes, Nicola Zalewski, Lazar Samardzic, and Nikola Krstovic all tried to break Genoa’s resistance, and they failed, but Hien’s header from a corner finally broke the deadlock.

Atalanta’s win marks their third consecutive victory, while Genoa’s failure to score at home continues, with six Serie A matches without a goal this season.
