Harry Kane Speaks on Bayern’s Title Ambitions and Life Under Kompany

Harry Kane has opened up about Bayern Munich’s aims for 2026, life under Vincent Kompany, and his personal ambitions. 

In an interview, Kane shared insights into the team’s progress and his own development.

Kane praised Kompany’s leadership, highlighting the team’s high intensity and energy. “We have high intensity, high energy,” Kane said. “But he also sets standards as a person and has clear expectations of all players. That’s important, and that’s how you build something.”

Kane feels more comfortable with positioning and movement under Kompany. “I feel more comfortable with positioning and movement,” he said. “When you train every day the way we do, you can only improve, and that’s why I’m developing personally as well.”

Bayern Munich is still competing in all competitions, and Kane is optimistic about their chances. “We’re still competing in all the competitions,” he said. “We’ve made sure we go into 2026 with the possibility of winning all three titles. The goal as a team is to win everything this season.”

Away from the pitch, Kane is working on his German language skills. “I’m still learning,” he said. “My children are learning faster than I am, but I have two or three short lessons a week. I’m slowly understanding a bit more, especially when I listen to some of my teammates.”

Kane has made his best start to a season in his career, with 29 goals and 3 assists across 24 games in all competitions. He’ll hope to end 2025 on a high with a win over 1.FC Heidenheim this Sunday.

Kane’s contract with Bayern Munich runs until 2027, and there’s speculation about his future plans. While he hasn’t ruled out a return to the Premier League, he’s focused on winning trophies with Bayern.
