Cole Palmer scored in his first game at Stamford Bridge since his injury to give Chelsea a 2-0 win over Everton
Chelsea are back in the top four temporarily courtesy of a 2-0 win over Everton, making it the first time since beating Barcelona that Chelsea have actually won a football match.
The Blues featured a strong lineup and Cole Palmer was in the starting XI to the excitement of many fans. Upon his return to the Bridge, Palmer didn’t disappoint as he gave the Blues the lead in the 21st.
The English midfielder received a defence-breaking pass from Malo Gusto and he slotted it past Pickford.
Gusto went from provider to scorer as he doubled Chelsea’s lead in the 45th minute.
Chelsea played with more hunger than they had in the past few games and they added another clean sheet to the tally. Sanchez was equal to the task every time he was called upon and the only time he was beaten, by Ndiaye’s shot, the bar came to the rescue.
Chelsea are back in the top 4 and fans would be delighted by the performance they saw today.
