Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr can breathe a sigh of relief after finally recording a win over arch rivals, Al-Hilal.

Al Nassr have gone a record three years without a win over Al-Hilal and for Ronaldo, the record is seven games.

Time after time, Al-Hilal has always gotten the better of the Portuguese star and his team. Today, Ronaldo put an end to that.

Scoring a brace to inspire his team to a victory, Ronaldo ended a losing streak for Stefano Pioli’s men against Al-Hilal. The brace also shoots him farther from his counterparts in the race for the golden boot.

His penalty which secured the brace counts as his 21st goal in the Saudi Pro League. The win takes Al-Nassr to third in the Saudi Pro League with 3 points behind Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo is known to be a goalscoring machine and to many, the greatest player of all time. Having scored agin today, his official goal tally now rises to 931 goals.

The Portuguese forward celebrates each goal like it is his first as he chases the 1,000 goal milestone. After scoring his 21st league goal, this becomes the 15th time in his career that he has scored 20+ goals in a season.

This crucial win puts Al-Nassr back in the conversation for the league title. They have been knocked out of the Kings Cup and beaten in the Saudi Super Cup final.

This gives them a shot, even though faint, at the Saudi Pro League title. It also gives Al-Nassr a boost in a top 3 finish and possible qualification for the AFC Champions League next season.
