Bayern Munich continue their push for a 33rd Bundesliga title when they face FC Augsburg at the WWK Arena.

Leading the Bundesliga with 65 points, Bayern holds a six-point advantage over Bayer Leverkusen. However, their recent form has been inconsistent, securing only one win in their last three Bundesliga matches.

To make matters worse, Bayern’s defense has been weakened by injuries to key players such as Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano and Hiroki Ito. Despite these challenges, head coach Vincent Kompany remains resolute, emphasizing the team’s commitment to an aggressive and confident approach.

FC Augsburg, currently in eighth place, is on an impressive 11-game unbeaten run, conceding only three goals during this stretch. Their impressive form coming into this fixture will give Bayern something to worry about.

In their previous encounter, Bayern secured a 3-0 victory, with Harry Kane netting a hat-trick. However, given Augsburg’s current form and Bayern’s injury concerns, this match promises to be more competitive. Bayern striker, Harry Kane will also be on the hunt for more goals in his race to win the European golden boot.

Kane currently has 33 goals in all competitions this season and he is hungry to get his first ever trophy. Kompany will hope his striker can break the Augsburg defense and push the team further in the Bundesliga race.
