Inter Milan is interested in signing Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer.

Inter Milan is reportedly keen on signing Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham Hotspur as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer, who is likely to leave the club at the end of the season.

Vicario, an Italy international, has expressed his desire to return to Serie A, and Inter is interested in securing his services.

Vicario has been in excellent form for Tottenham, establishing himself as a key player in Thomas Frank’s squad. However, his contract is set to run until June 2028, and Tottenham is reportedly seeking around €30m for his services, although they might agree to a lower fee of €25m.

Inter had previously targeted Vicario in the summer of 2023, but Tottenham outbid them, leading to the signing of Sommer instead. Now, with Sommer’s contract set to expire, Inter is looking to bring Vicario back to Italy.

The 29-year-old goalkeeper has been impressive in the Premier League, and Inter sees him as an ideal candidate to take over from Sommer. However, Inter’s transfer policy focuses on younger talent, making it uncertain whether they’ll invest in a 30-year-old goalkeeper.

Tottenham, on the other hand, is hesitant to sell Vicario, with former scout Bryan King stating that the club won’t consider selling him unless a “mind-blowing” offer is made.

For now, it’s unclear whether Inter will make a move for Vicario, but with Sommer’s departure looming, they’re likely to explore options for his replacement.
