Rafael Leão’s 51st‑minute goal gave AC Milan a 1‑0 win over Lazio.

Rafael Leão netted the decisive goal six minutes into the second half, slotting home from close range after Fikayo Tomori’s low cross across the box. The Portuguese forward’s strike was his sixth Serie A goal of the season and lifted Milan to a narrow 1‑0 lead.

The match remained scrappy through the opening 45 minutes, with few clear chances for either side. Lazio tried to push forward, but Milan’s defense, anchored by goalkeeper Mike Maignan, kept the sheet clean until Leão’s strike broke the deadlock.

Deep into stoppage time, Alessio Romagnoli’s shot struck Strahinja Pavlovic’s arm, prompting a VAR check for a possible penalty.

After a tense five‑minute review, referee Giuseppe Collu ruled no penalty, sparking fury among Lazio players and a red card for manager Massimiliano Allegri for dissent.

The result lifted AC Milan to the top of the Serie A table with 28 points, one point ahead of Roma who host defending champions Napoli on Sunday.

Lazio dropped to eighth with 18 points, five points behind seventh‑placed Juventus.

Milan’s unbeaten run now stretches to 12 league games, while Lazio suffered their fifth defeat in the season.
