Tottenham went from having a bad midweek to a poor weekend as they lost 2-1 to Fulham at home.

Coming off a 5-3 loss to PSG during the week, Tottenham needed to bounce back at the weekend. Spurs hosted Fulham who haven’t been very consistent and it looked like a chance to bounce back.

However, all hope was lost for Tottenham after the first ten minutes as Fulham were two goals up before the ten minute mark.

Fulham took the lead through Tete in the 6th minute as his shot took a deflected off Udogie, leaving Vicario stunned as the ball rolled in his opposite direction and into the net.

Things went from bad to worse as Fulham doubled the lead in two minutes. Vicario rushed out to clear the ball, which was initially a good idea. But his clearance was a poor one and by the time the ball landed at Harry Wilson’s feet, Vicario was yet to reach his goal. Wilson simply curved the ball into the net, making it 2-0 to Fulham in the first six minutes.

It would’ve been 3-0 in the first half but Chukwueze’s shot hit the bar. Chukwueze also had another chance after rounding Vicario but Van de Ven made a crunching tackle to keep his team in the fight.

In the second half, Tottenham gave their all, pouring bodies forward but the Fulham defence held strong. However, Tottenham finally registered a goal in the 59th minute after Kudus’ wonder strike flew past Leno and into the back of the net.

Tottenham kept fighting after the goal, hoping to equalize but the second never came and the game ended 2-1 in favour of Fulham. Spurs now sit 10th with 18 points and one of the worst home records in the Premier League this season.
