Norway secured a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 4-1 win over Estonia, thanks to goals from Alexander Sorloth and Erling Haaland.

Norway has all but secured a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 4-1 win over Estonia at Ullevaal Stadion.

The hosts dominated the game, but were frustrated by Estonia’s resolute defense in the first half. The breakthrough came in the second half, with Alexander Sorloth scoring two goals in quick succession.

Erling Haaland, Norway’s star player, finally got on the scoresheet with a header, and soon added a fourth goal, volleying into the roof of the net. Haaland’s 14th goal of the qualification process cemented Norway’s place at the World Cup, and the celebrations began as the final whistle blew.

Estonia managed to grab a consolation goal through Robi Saarma, but it was too little, too late. Norway’s win means they will qualify for the place in the World Cup for the first time since 1998.

Norway’s next match is against Italy at the San Siro on Sunday, but they are already guaranteed a spot in the World Cup. Estonia, meanwhile, end their campaign with four points and just one win from their eight matches.
