Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Juventus striker Jonathan David in January, seeking a long-term solution in the No.9 position.

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to bolster their attack in January, with Juventus striker Jonathan David emerging as a potential target.

The Canada international has struggled to make an impact in Turin, scoring just once in 11 matches since joining the Italian club over the summer.

David’s entourage has already discussed a possible January exit, and several top European clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich, have inquired about the conditions of a possible transfer.

Juventus is ready to sanction an exit for the player if he doesn’t improve his form in the coming months.

Tottenham have been searching for a long-term solution in the No.9 position since Harry Kane’s departure in 2023.

Dominic Solanke was signed in 2024, but injuries and inconsistency have hindered his progress. Richarlison and loan signing Randal Kolo Muani have deputized in the role, but they’re not seen as long-term solutions.

Spurs are also eyeing Porto ace Samu, reportedly willing to splash the cash to bring the Spain international to the club. David would be a more affordable option, presenting Spurs with a decision to make. With Richarlison’s future uncertain and Kolo Muani’s loan unlikely to be made permanent, pursuing multiple attacking signings could be the way forward.

Jonathan David had a prolific stint with Lille, scoring 109 goals across 232 matches, making him a highly sought-after free agent last summer. Juventus won the race for his signature, but his time in Serie A has been underwhelming.
