Bayern Munich reports a record annual turnover of €978.3 million (£862 million).

Bayern Munich has announced a new record annual turnover of €978.3 million (£862 million), marking a 2.8% increase from the previous season.

This impressive financial performance was revealed at the club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday, where president Herbert Hainer was re-elected for a third three-year term.

The club’s revenue growth is a testament to its exceptional strength and substance, as stated by CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. “Despite tumultuous times and a transfer market which is reaching new dimensions, we have once again achieved record turnover and posted a solid profit,” he said.

Bayern Munich generated a profit of €27.1 million, although this represents a decrease from €43.1 million in 2023/24 and €35.7 million the season before. The club’s membership has also reached an all-time high of 432,500, surpassing that of any other football team.

The club’s financial stability is attributed to the ’50+1 rule’, which requires members to retain a controlling share in the club, preventing external investors from having a majority say.

This approach has enabled Bayern Munich to maintain its independence and make decisions that prioritize the club’s long-term success.

Hainer was also re-elected as the club’s president and he was unopposed as the vast majority of voting members supported his continued leadership.
