Chelsea legend Eden Hazard has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, joining the likes of John Terry, Didier Drogba, and Frank Lampard.
Eden Hazard has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding contributions to the English top flight during his time at Chelsea. The Belgian winger scored 85 Premier League goals and created 54 assists for the Blues between 2012 and 2019.
Hazard expressed his gratitude and pride upon receiving the award, saying, “My dream was to play at the highest level, and I did it, so I am really happy. I just wanted to have fun on the pitch and entertain the fans who bought tickets or watched on TV.”
The 34-year-old joins a prestigious list of inductees, including John Terry, Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, and Ashley Cole. Legendary manager Jose Mourinho also congratulated Hazard, calling him one of the most amazing players he has worked with.
Mourinho said, “Eden, many congratulations on joining the Premier League Hall of Fame. Everybody knows that you belong there. You are one of the most amazing players that I ever worked with, and of course, you have to be there.”
Hazard’s achievements at Chelsea include lifting two Premier League titles, and he is remembered fondly by fans for his exciting performances on the pitch.
The list of inductees includes other Premier League greats such as David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, and Sergio Aguero, among others. Hazard’s inclusion is a fitting tribute to his contributions to the English top flight.
