Inter Milan will face Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday, marking their first-ever competitive meeting. The match will be held at Lotto Park in Brussels, with both teams looking to gain momentum in the league phase of Europe’s top competition.

Inter Milan’s coach, Cristian Chivu, will have to make do without talismanic striker Marcus Thuram, who is sidelined with a thigh injury. Thuram is expected to return next weekend when Inter travels to Napoli. 

In his absence, Ange-Yoan Bonny will partner Lautaro Martinez in attack, having impressed with his performances.

The Nerazzurri’s defense will feature Francesco Acerbi, Alessandro Bastoni, and Manuel Akanji, providing solidity and composure. Denzel Dumfries and Federico Dimarco will operate as wing-backs, offering dynamic width on either flank.

In midfield, Nicolò Barella, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan will form a well-balanced central unit, combining energy, creativity, and experience. Inter Milan is also missing defender Matteo Darmian and backup goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro due to injuries.
