South Korean defender Kim Min-jae is considering a January transfer to Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan putting the Bayern Munich defender on their transfer list.
Kim Min-jae is contemplating a return to Serie A in January, with Juventus and AC Milan keeping a close eye on him.
The 27-year-old had a successful stint at Napoli in the 2022-23 season, which led to a €50m transfer to Bayern Munich. However, he has struggled to secure regular playing time in the Bundesliga, making a move to Serie A an attractive option.
Kim’s experience in Italian football, combined with his impressive performances at Napoli, makes him an interesting prospect for both Juventus and AC Milan.
Juventus are looking to bolster their defence, especially after Gleison Bremer’s injury setback, and see Kim as a potential solution. The Bianconeri hope to still be in the Champions League by January and believe Kim’s experience would be valuable.
AC Milan, on the other hand, had already made an approach for Kim during the summer transfer window but ultimately turned to other targets. Despite this, the Rossoneri remain interested in the defender, who would bring a wealth of experience to their central defence.
The main obstacle for both clubs is Kim’s salary, reportedly worth €9m per season. Even if he were to move on loan, the cost would still be significant, making it a challenging deal to negotiate. However, both clubs are willing to explore options to secure Kim’s services.
