AC Milan’s star player Christian Pulisic suffered an injury while on international duty with the USMNT.

AC Milan is facing a major setback as their star player Christian Pulisic suffered an injury while playing for the USMNT against Australia.

Pulisic, who has been in top form for Milan, was forced off the pitch in the 31st minute of the game due to a lower leg injury. The USMNT captain had been dealing with an ankle issue prior to the match and seemed to aggravate it during the game.

Pulisic’s injury is a significant blow to AC Milan, as he has been their biggest attacking threat this season. His impressive performances in Serie A have been carried over to international duty, making his absence a major concern for Milan’s upcoming matches. The injury comes at a bad time, as Milan is looking to build momentum in Serie A.

Adding to Milan’s concerns is the fact that another key player, Rafael Leao, was also sent back from Portugal’s camp due to an injury. This leaves Milan with a depleted squad, making it challenging for them to maintain their winning momentum.

Pulisic’s injury occurred after a heavy challenge by Australia’s Jason Geria, who earned a yellow card for clipping Pulisic’s heel from behind. The USMNT coach, Mauricio Pochettino, stated that Pulisic felt something in his hamstring and would be assessed further in Italy.

Pulisic is expected to miss the AC Milan vs Fiorentina game this weekend.

Despite Pulisic’s injury, the USMNT managed to secure a 2-1 win over Australia, thanks to Haji Wright’s brace. The win ended Australia’s 12-game unbeaten run and marked a positive end to the USMNT’s October international window.
