Borussia Dortmund coach Niko Kovac is confident that Serhou Guirassy will return to his consistent scoring form, despite a recent goal drought.

Serhou Guirassy has been a key player for Borussia Dortmund this season, but the 29-year-old striker has faced a minor slump in form.

Despite scoring six goals in eight games, Guirassy has managed just one goal in his last four matches. However, Dortmund coach Niko Kovac remains confident that Guirassy will bounce back and continue to deliver crucial goals for the team.

Kovac emphasized Guirassy’s importance to the team, describing him as a “key part” of Dortmund’s attack. “For me, Serhou is very, very important,” Kovac said in an interview. “He remains our insurance policy because he is a key part of this team.”

Guirassy’s recent struggles can be attributed to the increased attention he’s receiving from opposing teams.

Kovac noted that Guirassy is often marked by two players, which limits his space and makes it harder for him to score. “You also have to notice that in recent Bundesliga games he was sometimes marked by two players,” Kovac explained.

Despite the challenges Guirassy faces, Kovac is convinced that the striker will return to his scoring form. “I know that in the coming weeks, he will again give us what we need: his goals,” Kovac said, expressing his confidence in Guirassy’s ability to deliver under pressure.
