England captain Harry Kane has played down fears over his fitness after sustaining a knock in Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Harry Kane’s injury scare has raised concerns among England fans, but the captain himself is optimistic about joining the squad for the upcoming matches. Chelsea loanee Nicolas Jackson replaced Kane with five minutes remaining in Bayern Munich’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt due to a knock.

Despite the injury, Kane insists he’ll be fit to join the England squad at St George’s Park on Monday.

The 32-year-old England captain scored his 18th goal in just 10 matches across all competitions, adding to Luis Diaz’s brace in Bayern’s dominant 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt. Kane’s impressive form has been a key factor in Bayern’s success this season, and his potential absence would be a significant blow to both Bayern and England.

Kane described the injury as a “knock” and expressed confidence that he’ll be fit for the national team. “I am recovering at the moment – I took a knock. A few days and then I should be fine, so no problem for the national team. I will be there on Monday,” Kane said, according to the Bayern official website.

If Kane is deemed fit, he’ll lead the England squad in their high-profile friendly against Wales at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night. England will then travel to Riga to face Latvia in their latest 2026 World Cup qualifier next week.

Thomas Tuchel, the England boss, will be keeping a close eye on Kane’s progress, and if needed, Ollie Watkins might be called upon to deputize.

Kane’s injury update will be a welcome relief for England fans, who were bracing themselves for the worst. With Kane’s leadership and goal-scoring prowess, England looks set to continue their strong form in the upcoming matches.
