Chelsea hosts Liverpool at Stamford Bridge tomorrow in a highly anticipated encounter.
Match Preview
Chelsea and Liverpool lock horns at Stamford Bridge this weekend, and both teams will be looking to secure a good result going into the international break.
Chelsea comes into this game with a handful of players, as most of the starting players are either out injured or under suspension. The Blues won their midweek fixture against Benfica 1-0 courtesy of an own goal from Richard Rios but they won’t forget the back to back Premier League losses against Brighton and Manchester United in the Premier League.
They would also be looking to complete the game with 11 men, as they have conceded three red cards in their last three games.
Liverpool, on the other hand, has suffered a surprise dip in form. The Reds lost their unbeaten streak after a 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. They also suffered a bizarre 1-0 loss to Galatasaray during the week in the UEFA Champions League.
Coming into the weekend, Arne Slot will want to ensure the Reds don’t suffer three consecutive losses.
