Christian Norgaard denies suggestions that Arsenal are a defensive side, insisting that the team has an attacking approach to matches.

Christian Norgaard, Arsenal’s summer signing, has come out to defend the team’s approach to the game, insisting that they are an attacking side with a mindset to score goals.

Despite some valid questions about Arsenal’s ability to create chances, Norgaard believes that the team has been going for it in their matches. “I think we are an attacking team with an attacking mindset,” Norgaard said, expressing his confidence in the team’s approach.

Norgaard pointed to Arsenal’s dominant performance against Manchester City, where they had more chances and momentum despite ultimately drawing the match. “I think we’ve been going for it a lot in those games, particularly at the weekend,” he said, highlighting the team’s attacking intent.

Norgaard also noted that xG statistics don’t always tell the whole story, suggesting that Arsenal may have created more chances than the numbers suggest.

The Danish midfielder praised the quality of his teammates, saying that the talent in the team is “unbelievable.” However, he acknowledged that the team still needs to get everything clicking. “Now it’s just about getting it to click,” Norgaard said. “I’m sure it will, and then we’ll be flying.”

The comeback win against Newcastle puts his response into perspective as the team dominated despite being a goal down for much of the game. Arteta’s substitutions added more bite to the dominant display, helping the Gunners come back from a goal down to win 2-1. 

As a relatively new signing, Norgaard has faced some challenges in getting game time. He made his first start for Arsenal against Port Vale in midweek.

Despite the challenges, Norgaard is optimistic about Arsenal’s prospects. He believes that the team has the quality and talent to succeed, and he’s excited to contribute to their success.
