Spurs boss Thomas Frank praises his team’s effort and mentality after securing a 1-1 draw with Wolves, thanks to Joao Palhinha’s late equalizer.

Thomas Frank was relieved after Tottenham’s 1-1 draw with Wolves, praising his team’s effort and mentality in securing a point. “I like the effort and mentality, and I think it’s huge actually,” Frank said, highlighting the positives from the match.

Despite not hitting their highest performance level, Frank appreciated the resilience shown by his players.

Frank was happy with Tottenham’s first-half display, where they dominated possession and created several good chances. “I felt we were on top, created two or three very good chances, and got into a lot of dangerous situations,” he explained.

However, the team’s performance dipped after Wolves took the lead, with Frank noting that they lost some structure and coolness.

The change in Wolves’ formation to a 5-3-2 after halftime made it more difficult for Tottenham to create scoring opportunities.

Frank acknowledged that his team knew Wolves could make such a change but struggled to adapt their strategy mid-game. “Not that we didn’t know they could do it, but of course, how do we get the message across to the players?” he questioned.

Despite the challenges, Frank commended his team’s ability to come back from behind, securing points in consecutive games. “Now that is two times in a row we come back. I think that tells a lot about the players,” he said, emphasizing the importance of resilience in the Premier League.

Frank also acknowledged that the league is extremely competitive, and teams don’t simply roll over. “Football is not like Wolves please roll over. It is the Premier League, and it is extremely competitive,” he noted.

In the end, Frank considered the point earned from the draw as positive, given the circumstances. “When you are down at 90 plus and you get a point, I think that’s positive,” he concluded, looking forward to the next challenge for his team.
