Things Are Not Looking Good For Chelsea

Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca just delivered his press conference ahead of the Brighton game, and there are not a lot of positives to take.

Chelsea have just one win in their last four games, and against Brighton this weekend, fans would be hoping for something a little more positive. Following Maresca’s press conference this season, it looks like the bad days may have gotten worse.

Maresca broke the news on Cole Palmer, stating that the midfielder may be out for 2-3 weeks as the club wants to rest him to monitor the extent of the groin injury.

Maresca also added that Tosin has suffered a calf injury and will be out for a couple of weeks. He is likely to return after the international break. Wesley Fofana has also suffered a concussion and isn’t expected to play against Brighton. Badiashile and Lavia are not confirmed for Brighton as well.

This news doesn’t do much to lift the confidence of Chelsea fans, who saw the team drop points at Brentford and lose back-to-back games against Bayern Munich and Manchester United. However, Maresca has taken solace in the fact that he can rely on Acheampong and Hato while the other defenders are injured. It’s a matter of seeing how they can adapt and provide balance for the team in this period.
