Arsenal icon Ian Wright believes Harry Kane will return to Tottenham to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record and win silverware.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has now shared his thoughts on the matter, backing Kane to make an emotional return to his boyhood club.

According to Wright, Kane’s motivation for returning to Tottenham would be to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League record and win silverware with the team. Wright believes Kane’s legacy and desire for success would drive him to make this decision. “Not just for the [Premier League] record but to finish off and see if he can be part of a team that wins something at Tottenham,” Wright said.

Kane’s impressive goal-scoring record for Tottenham, with 280 goals in 435 appearances, has left many wondering if he’ll ever surpass Shearer’s record. With 213 Premier League goals, Kane is just 48 shy of Shearer’s all-time record. Wright thinks Kane’s determination to break this record could be a significant factor in his decision to return to Tottenham.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has also shared his thoughts on a potential Kane transfer, praising the player’s performances at both Spurs and Bayern. While Frank would love to see Kane return, he doubts it will happen soon. “He is an unbelievable player who did fantastic for Spurs and is doing fantastic for Bayern,” Frank said. “Personally, I don’t think he will do it right now if I’m honest.”

Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has echoed Frank’s sentiments, highlighting Kane’s hunger for titles and success. Eberl believes Kane is still making progress as a player and leader, and it seems unlikely he’ll leave Bayern anytime soon.
