AC Milan secured a 3-0 victory over Lecce in the second round of the Coppa Italia.

AC Milan dominated Lecce in the Coppa Italia second round, winning 3-0 thanks to goals from Santiago Gimenez, Christopher Nkunku, and Christian Pulisic. The match was played without Massimiliano Allegri, who served his second match of a two-game Coppa Italia suspension.

The Rossoneri came out strong, creating several promising opportunities in the opening exchanges. Gimenez and Ruben Loftus-Cheek both had close-range shots denied, while Nkunku hit the post before the 10th minute.

Lecce’s chances of competing with the Rossoneri became even smaller when defender Jamil Siebert received a red card in the 18th minute for a last-man foul on Nkunku.

Milan quickly capitalized on the numerical advantage, scoring their first goal just two minutes after Siebert’s dismissal. Adrien Rabiot found Davide Bartesaghi on the left flank, and his excellent low cross allowed Gimenez to score his first competitive goal of the season. Milan continued to press, hitting the woodwork once more before halftime through Rabiot.

The second half saw Milan maintain their dominance. Nkunku doubled the lead with an acrobatic volley from a corner kick, showcasing his trademark celebration. Pulisic, who replaced Nkunku, scored the third goal, timing his run perfectly to finish Youssouf Fofana’s cross.

This win secures Milan’s spot in the Round of 16, where they’ll face Lazio on December 3.
