Borussia Dortmund coach Nico Kovac praised his team for their performance against Wolfsburg, stating that they deserved to win.

Borussia Dortmund’s coach Niko Kovac was thrilled with his team’s performance in their narrow win against Wolfsburg. The Black and Yellows secured a third successive win, thanks to Karim Adeyemi’s stunning goal, and Kovac was delighted with the three points.

Kovac praised Adeyemi’s goal, saying that he knew the young striker had the power to score such a goal. “I know what kind of power he has in his thighs,” Kovac said, highlighting Adeyemi’s impressive physical abilities. Adeyemi had been frustrated after being limited to just five minutes of play in the previous home game against Union Berlin, but Kovac believes he’s working hard for the team and is becoming more effective.

Adeyemi’s goal was enough to secure the win for Dortmund, and Kovac was impressed with his team’s defensive performance. “We deserved to win the game because we didn’t allow anything,” Kovac said. The team’s ability to keep a clean sheet was a significant factor in their win, and Kovac was pleased that defender Nico Schlotterbeck played the entire 90 minutes.

Kovac acknowledged that Wolfsburg was a well-structured team and that the win wasn’t easy. “It was not easy to play against them,” he said. However, Dortmund’s defensive solidity and Adeyemi’s goal were enough to secure the three points.

The win was a significant boost for Dortmund, who were looking to bounce back after their late collapse in the Champions League on Tuesday. Kovac’s team has now secured three successive wins, and they’re looking to build on their momentum in the coming games.

Overall, Kovac was pleased with his team’s performance and believed they deserved the win. “I’m obviously delighted,” he said. “First and foremost, about winning. And for the clean sheet, and that Schlotti played the entire 90 minutes.”
