Arsenal rescued a point against Manchester City in the Premier League, all thanks to super sub Gabriel Martinelli.
The Gunners went behind in the 9th minute against the run of play as Erling Haaland stabbed the ball into the back of the net from a counterattack. His pass to Reijnders began the attack, and he charged at the Arsenal defence. He received a return pass from Reijnders and calmly slotted the ball past Raya.
Despite going behind, Arsenal continued to dominate the game, forcing Manchester City to be on the back foot throughout. Arsenal kept applying pressure, but Donnarumma was equal to the task, especially from corners.
The Gunners eventually got the equaliser through Gabriel Martinelli, who scored just minutes after coming on. The equaliser is Martinelli’s second goal in two games for the Gunners. Arsenal will be grateful to take a point and maintain their strong record at home against Manchester City.
