Cristhian Mosquera is set to make his full Arsenal debut against Nottingham Forest after impressing manager Mikel Arteta with his solid performance against Liverpool.

The 21-year-old Spanish defender is set to make his full Arsenal debut in the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium. Mosquera has been handed a huge opportunity after William Saliba’s ankle injury ruled him out for several weeks.

The talented young defender has already made an appearance off the bench for Arsenal in the game against Liverpool at Anfield.

Mosquera replaced Saliba just five minutes into the game and held his own, boasting a pass completion rate of 92 percent and winning 80 percent of his duels contested. Arteta praised Mosquera’s impact, saying he was “really good” and unfazed by the occasion.

With Saliba out, Arteta is likely to partner Mosquera with Gabriel Magalhaes in central defense. Mosquera’s impressive display against Liverpool has earned him the trust of his manager, and he’s expected to start alongside Gabriel.

With Nottingham Forest coming to town, Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool and return to winning ways.
