Which of the biggest players could leave their current clubs and to where? Find out which six top players should leave their current clubs and where they can go.

The football transfer window is open until September 1st, and many clubs are vying for the signature of top players as they look to rebuild their current club projects and challenge for titles next season.

The transfer window is a frantic period for clubs, journalists, and fans, but reading that a certain deal for a top player has been done or hearing ‘Here we go’ about a player your club has been pursuing for months brings a different type of joy.

A few top players have switched allegiances since the transfer window opened, and a few more would change clubs before the end of the window. Liverpool have acquired Wirtz and Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, while City have secured the services of Cherki and Reijnders who are among the best players in their positions.

We have also seen Kevin De Bruyne, Jonathan Tah, and Leroy Sane change clubs, and as usual, there is still more to come. With players running out of contracts or looking for new challenges, there’s the question of how many more top players will change clubs.

Well, here is a list of six top players who should transfer this summer and the best clubs they should transfer to.

Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho has had a torrid season at Manchester United and after the Europa League final, it is clear that he wants to leave Manchester United.

Garnacho is an out-and-out winger which makes it very difficult for him to fit into Ruben Amorim’s system. The Argentine winger has already been linked to Napoli and Chelsea this summer and he would be a good fit at either club. He would be an ideal replacement for Kvaratskhelia who left Napoli in January.

Rodrygo

Real Madrid may be looking to sell Brazilian winger Rodrygo this summer, and Arsenal could be the perfect destination for him.

After a disappointing 2024-25 season, Rodrygo might be looking for a change, and Arsenal’s ambitions could be just what he needs to reignite his spark.

Rodrygo is an electric player who can be unstoppable when he’s on form. His experience in the Champions League and winning trophies would be invaluable to Arsenal.

Under Mikel Arteta, players like Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard have thrived, and Rodrygo could be next.Arsenal’s style of play, which hinges on creativity and attacking flair, could be a perfect fit for Rodrygo’s skills.

He would bring a new level of excitement and unpredictability to the team, and his hunger to prove himself could drive him to new heights.

A move to Arsenal would give Rodrygo the opportunity to be a key player and showcase his talents in a new environment. With the right mindset and motivation, he could become a crucial part of Arsenal’s success.

Victor Gyokeres

The Swedish striker is one of the biggest names on the market. Although he finished the second in the European Golden Boot race due to league coefficient, it doesn’t take anything away from the fact that he has been a prolific goalscorer this season.

Gyokeres has been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal who are searching for a top striker. Amorim has previously worked with Gyokeres and there’s the feeling that the Red Devils can convince him to sign for them. His play style suits the Premier League but he is better suited to play for the Red Devils than the Gunners.

Most of Gyokeres’ goals come from the wing and if he moved to Arsenal, it would affect him, given that the Gunners have good wingers who can hug the touchline. Arsenal needs someone who can stay centrally in the box and Gyokeres doesn’t suit their system.

Jadon Sancho

Since joining Manchester United from Dortmund, Sancho has been a shadow of himself but his loan move to Chelsea showed that he still has what it takes to become one of the best wingers in the league. In his time at Chelsea, he won the Europa Conference League, scoring in the finals and helping the club return to the Champions League.

It looked like Chelsea were going to sign him permanently but Sancho’s reluctance to reduce his £300,000-a-week Old Trafford salary made it impossible for Chelsea to go through with the deal. Sancho has returned to Manchester United but once again, he faces uncertainty about his playing time and could be shipped off during this transfer window.

Manchester United are listening to offers for Sancho and it is believed that his time at Old Trafford may be over.

Ideally, Sancho would’ve been a perfect fit at Chelsea given that he’s an upgrade to their current wingers but since a deal couldn’t materialize, the English winger may be a better fit for Juventus or Dortmund.

Juventus gives him a breath of fresh air and given that the club doesn’t have well-known wingers, he could be the main man on the right wing, partnering with Yildiz who can play the number 10 position. He would also get more playing time and the chance to play without a lot of expectations, allowing him to excel just like he did when he returned to Dortmund on loan.

Benjamin Sesko

Sesko has been linked with a move away from Leipzig for many months now and this transfer window, Arsenal and Manchester United are trying very hard to bring him to the Premier League.

With Leipzig not qualifying for the Champions League, there is a growing feeling that he would want Champions League football which makes Arsenal the best destination for him. He fits Arsenal’s playing style as he stays more in the box and can attack aerial balls easily due to his height.

Arsenal are known for their corner tactics as they scored more goals from corners than any team in the Premier League.

If they sign Sesko, he would play to their strength. He can also shoot from outside the box and draw defenders to himself which will ease up space for the likes of Odegaard, Saka and Martinelli to play better and create more goal scoring opportunities.

Antony

Antony’s £81 million move to Manchester United in 2022 has not yielded the expected results, and it’s time for him to consider a change. Despite his talent, he has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, and the club is now looking to offload him permanently.

A loan spell at Real Betis last season showed that Antony can still produce high-quality football, helping the team reach the UEFA Conference League final.

Amorim hasn’t really taken to the idea of Antony returning to Manchester United and for both parties, it’s better if the Brazilian pursues his career elsewhere. A permanent move to Betis or a loan deal to Bayer Leverkusen, now coached by Erik ten Hag, could be the perfect opportunity for Antony to revive his career but he would be a better fit at Betis.

He is already used to the system there and has impacted the club tremendously despite spending little time. The main issue for Real Betis is his transfer fee but if they can find a way to overcome it, the club would be the perfect ground for Antony to regain his form and play his best football.
